Refunds & Cancellation

Cancel whenever you like, take your site with you, and get a straight answer on refunds. No retention scripts, no exit fees.

Last updated 27 August 2026

How to cancel

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and say you'd like to cancel. That's the whole process. We'll confirm in writing, and we'll tell you the date your service ends.

There's no minimum term, no notice period and no cancellation fee. We won't make you phone anyone or click through a retention flow.

When your service ends

Hosting is billed monthly in advance. When you cancel, your site stays online until the end of the period you've already paid for — you're not cut off the moment you ask. Billing stops immediately, so you won't be charged again.

What happens to your site and data

At the end of your paid period the site is suspended, not deleted. It stops serving publicly, but your files and database stay exactly where they are.

  • For 30 days after suspension we keep everything. Change your mind and we'll switch it straight back on, exactly as it was.
  • During that window you can ask us for a full export of your files and database, free of charge, in a format any other host can import.
  • After 30 days the account and its data may be permanently deleted, and that can't be undone.
Leaving for another host? Ask and we'll help you move. We'd rather you left cleanly with your site intact than got stuck. It costs us nothing to be decent about it.

Refunds

If the service doesn't work as described — your site was never provisioned, or a fault on our side made it unusable and we couldn't fix it — tell us and we'll refund you. That's your right under the Australian Consumer Law, and we won't argue about it.

If you cancel mid-month because you no longer need the service, we don't refund the remainder of the current month by default — your site keeps running until the period ends. That said, if you signed up days ago and it clearly isn't the right fit, just ask. We'd rather refund you than keep money from someone who isn't happy.

If we end your service for any reason other than a serious breach of our terms, you'll be refunded the unused portion of the month.

Development, migration and setup work that has already been carried out isn't refundable, because the time has been spent. Work quoted but not yet started can be cancelled at no cost.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically over the following days and we'll email you. If it still hasn't been paid after those attempts, the site may be suspended — again, suspended rather than deleted. Bring the account up to date and it comes straight back.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. We process them within 5 business days of agreeing to one; how quickly it appears on your statement is up to your bank, typically another 5 to 10 business days.

If something goes wrong

Email [email protected] or call 0493 521 261 and explain what happened. You're dealing with the person who runs the servers, so there is no escalation queue to fight through. If we can't resolve it between us, you can contact the ACCC or your state fair-trading body.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
